Lyn has a background in horticulture and landscape gardening, hence the need for many treatments in the past for chronic back pain.
After being diagnosed with Scheuermann’s disease and gaining a lot of experience from many alternative therapies, Lyn made a dramatic career change. She gained an ITEC diploma in Sports Holistic Massage and continued with her training to obtain a Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage at St Mary’s University. Her experience with treating clients with chronic pain problems led her to investigate the John Barnes Myofascial Release technique as she found that ‘allowing’ the body to release rather than ‘making’ it release proved more beneficial. Since July 2010 she has completed courses with John Barnes in Arizona, USA as well as a 40 hour Intensive Self-Assessment Seminar at his clinic in Paoli, USA. She has also become an Advanced Integrated Myofascial Release Therapist through IMFT in Glasgow and London.
She is covered by professional indemnity insurance.
